Elder Matthew Case

Porto Portugal Mission

Apparently these shells cling to the wood posts and then die. I love this picture.

Sister Laura Sherry

Swiss, German-speaking Mission

Provo Temple

Issac and Aunt Em

Wow my Laura is on a mission. I cannot believe it! As we drove to the MTC we reminissed on how just a year ago we were talking about the possaility of missions and now she is serving one!

We had lunch at Lea and Geof's before she reported to the MTC. Matt & Jessica, Emily, Luke and I were all there with Laura. It was delightful.

It certainly was hard for all of us to say goodbye, but we are certainly happy for Laura's choice to serve the Lord. We love you Sister Sherry.

Sister Carolyn Andrus

Omaha Nebraska Mission

Carolyn and her companion completed their 9-month mark on their mission so they dressed up with some fake bellies. By now she has completed more than half her mission. Boy how time flies.

Historical site she visited on P-day. What a cute sister missionary!

Carolyn went to the Omaha Zoo with her companion on P-day. What a goofy picture.

Thanksgiving 2006

There is nothing like Thanksgiving
in San Diego...

JB he had his wisdom teeth pulled out before coming to Cali. On our way down we thought of things we could do on our "short" 10 hour drive. We decided to play MASH. He seemed a little out of the ordinary and sad so I thought this game would help him cheer up too. Well we thought of something really funny and burst out laughing!
That whole time I thought he was sad about something, but I realized it was just that it hurt him to laugh, much less smile. For Thanksgiving, he basically had "mashed everything."

Tinker: Hands down she is my favorite niece!

Abue Y Eriquita

I know that my mom and Arlene would probably not want me to post this nice "rear view" image, but I had to. One of my favorite things about this Thanksgiving was cooking and talking together in the kitchen. Even though Abue isn't in the picture, she certainly was part of the cooking!

We had the Whitaker's over for Thanksgiving. After dinner we played Scategories. It was so fun. We also played Rummikub. I never knew Robert was so good at it, everybody watch out he is one serious Rummikub player!

Kelli & Erica

This Thanksgiving was especially wonderful because it was one of the last times all four "kids" were together, for another great while- since JB will be leaving for his mission.

We spent it eating, laughing, and playing games together. Well and of course shopping at the annual "midnight madness" at the Carlsbad Mall. I never thought it was humanly possible to shop 'til 5 am! Good family bonding... right? It certainly was fun being together.

Mami thought that she wasn't going to have all four kids because JB told her that he wouldn't be able to come because of his wisdom teeth. Ahaha if she only knew what would really happy. She and Abue were so happy to have all their kids there, and I in turn was so fulfilled to be with them.
