Abue

If there is anyone in this world that I know has a most perfect love for her grandkids, it is my Abue. I love going home, listening to her sing to her flowers, watering her garden, and watching the birds eat the food she puts out for them. Abuelita te quiero mas de lo que puedas imaginar.

Doy gracias a Dios por haberme dado una abuelita tan linda como tu!

Asian Invasion: P.F. Changs

"Food and Family," that's what I always say. Put me in a room with people I love and food I enjoy: I will be one happy girl.

Thank the Lord for His creations!

some ThiNgS never change

O how much I love you two! I think the white and black pitures we took back in '04 before you guys left on your missions. Getting together is always a treat. I am grateful to have met you two. I will always be proud to say you both took me out with Laura on my very first date! Proud of that baby! I look up to you both so much. Life is passing by fast and taking us in so many dirrections; so many new changes in life. But I must say that dispite all that, I am grateful that some things haven't changed. Like our sillyness. May it stay that way forever!

The new Mr. and Mrs. Simmons

Congrats you two! I am so excited for your new life together. I can't believe we have come to the point of our lives, when we are starting to get married. Ashley you have married a wonderful man! You can't get any better than Carlin and Kevin. I love you both very much Mr. and Mrs. Simmons.

Por eso las AMO

Is this not enough to explain why it is I love these girls! It doesn't matter how long it's been since we last saw each other, we always sink into our normal selves. "Normal" of course beign a relative discription of who we are when we're together. Las AMO tanto!

"Give the girls some Porridge"

So the first week I moved in, as it is everytime, I was low on food and full of things to do. Of Course.
Luckally my Mami flew that weekend.

"Mami to the rescue!"

Unfortunately for her, the first day that we spent together, all I had in the fridge was left over "rice soup" ...enough for one person. So we shared my last bowl of "porridge" and ran straight to COSTCO.

Queso y Cousins

The night I moved to Salt Lake, we went to "The Pie." It is one of my favorite nooks in SLC. I tittled my blogg "cheese and primos" because that is the kind of night it was. Right Carlita and Liz? We are cousins and no one can tell us otherwise. Kike and Josse, well your stuck with me even if you didn't want to be my Primos. ejejee. Los quiero a todos tanto. Gracias por su ayuda esa noche!

TQM ...or should I say "LQM"

Este verano, al buscar un lugar en donde vivir Eli me dijo que su amiga Cynthia estaba buscando una companera. Pues le hable el siguiente dia, y desde entonces todo a sido una aventura!

Eli y Cynthia los quiero mucho!

Impressed by the Test

The Nurturer

You have a strong need to belong, and you are very loyal. A good listener, you excel at helping others in practical ways. In your spare time, you enjoy engaging your senses through art, cooking, and music. You find it easy to be devoted to one person, who you do special things for. In love, you express your emotions through actions. Taking care of someone is how you love them. And you do it well! At work, you do well in a structured environment. You complete tasks well and on time. You would make a good interior designer, chef, or child psychologist. How you see yourself: Competent, dependable, and detail oriented. When other people don't get you, they see you as: boring, dominant, and stuck in a rut.

So I took this test that Sarah Ditto had posted on her blogg. I don't think I had filled out an online survey since the days of dial-up and AOL. Surprised to say, I was impressed by the test.

New Years: 2008

MENU:
Salmon, Caviar & Cheese starters
Orange and Chipotle Pigeon
Springs with Vinegar and Lime Onions

This New Year was fun! We had an amazing dinner and like always great company; friends and family of course. The neighbor's came over and we had fireworks to bring in the new year. And of course, as is customary in our culture, we took out the old year and chucked the suite case out the door!
