Despedida

This week I had my farewell here in Utah. It was a great oportunity to speak at church. It was also a chance to meet with family and friends who I have not seen for a while and who I will not see for a while either. Thank you all who came to listen to me at church and all those who have expressed your support in my descision to serve a full time mission. I cannot wait to head out to the field!

Feliz Cumpleanos Mami

My Mami's B-day was last week. Tio Pepe, anita and Marielita came over. We had a yummy dinner, cake and laughs. Its great to have my mami here while preparing to head off!

"Can I make over you?"

This little princess asked me the other day why I don't wear make up? I told her that a girl is beautiful without make up and that its what's inside that counts.

She wasn't satisfied. So she finally responded,

"hum, well can I make over you?"

"Sure, why not!"

Mary!

Mary came down last week for the Twilight concert. Every Thursday down town SLC hols a concert where a lot of great posts are set up as well. It was so nice to see each other. Although my studies for finals cut my visit short, it was still nice to eat and cath up!
...may I note the guy behind us, what a classic face!

Papi

Seen as my Papi and Diane and the girls lived in Mexico this year, it was an entreem delight to see my daddy even if it was for a day. Recently he made a quick stop to SLC, so we got to spend the day together. Boy do I miss him!

BAMIES

On Fridays as usual, I get to stay home with the kids. I love it! Our recent escapade was to the restaurant "Bamies" (sign made by no other than Anali Gerber) and a picnic outside that ended with two tierd girls naping on the grass for an hour... what a delightful day. I love Anali... I especially loved that she wore her goggles while we played in the sprinklers. What a cootie!

Roomies!

Cynthia came down this weekend. Can I jsut sa, "I miss you roomie!" We went to Rumbies for lunch and Cynthia showed me pics of her recent trips to Mexico and Costa Rica. We had a blast, we were practically on the floor laughing because, well.... that's just who we are when we're together! At night, went to walmart to get some treats for our "sleep over." So Cynthia asked if she could borrow some sandals... I went to get her some, but when I saw my boots, I thought "perfect!" So I told her that's all I had (heheee) I knew she'd be a sport. We got some nice stares and giggles from it.

ps... can I write p.s.'s on a blog post? does that make sense? ANYWAY we watched the movie: "Whale Rider." Just for the record (for those who are like me and don't like animal movies, Stacy can attest to that) the movie is NOT about:

> a whale or
>a girl who falls in love with a whale or
>a girl who falls in love with a whale and CAN'T keep it as her pet

Its a pretty good movie though, sorry Cynthia for throwing a fit... I just assumed since there was a whale on the cover and its called "whale rider" that it was about, well... it doesnt matter. I had a DANG good time with you this weekend, I'm glad you came!

WHeRE dId tIMe gO?!

This weekend was Stacy's bridal shower; as one can see Stacy, Hellen and I were reunited. The three of us have all moved from California to Utah and so to our delight were able to get together at the shower.

Where did time go?! Wasn't it just yesterday we were princesses? Well I guess we are still princesses...just with a little less style!

natural highs at the market

................................................................................

In fifth grade, I graduated from DARE. Man I can't even remember what it stands for now! But you learn there are better things to do than drugs. Well duh! There are greater joys in life, like....

european/scandonavian? dancers... not to mention when they are acompanied by an assembly of cool instruments, like the acordian or a fife!

italian sodas

german pastries

riding your bike

and most of all, doing all these things at the local farmers market!
