You gonna be a Mama?

Apparently when you wear red and orange it means your pregnant. I think. At least that is what one of my patients told me the other day....





I was taking her blood pressure, standing right in front of her of course. I'm right about to where the diastolic is going to give in so I can tell her her result. But she catches me off guard when she places her hand on my "belly" and says to me, "Oh you gonna be a Mamma?" I took off my stehescope and as I answer her I'm still thinking "did she really ask that?" And I look down at her hand or my "belly" (heehee) and say to her, "Oh no, I'm not even married."





Oooh the ball's on her court now! But her creativity wasn't over... "oh I mean, cuz pregnant woman always wear red and orange. I mean that is how I can always tell a young girl is pregnant."





How funny! All I could do was giggle. I said to her "o meam , don't worry about it, that doesn't offend me. I love my little pudge" hehee but she was not satisfied with that. She kept telling me how those two colors are "pregnant colors." Poor lady, she was just digging herself in deeper. But it made me smile, plus she taught me something new.....right?

I don't know whats up with the soda, but I tried to get good "pudgyness" to show off my "baby."
