Reason for the Season
Sunday night, we went to see the lights at Temple Square. We also saw the short film on Luke 2 and listened to some great Christmas choirs in the Assemly Hall. I love music and I love the assemly hall; it has so much history to it. I love when we celebrate the season with the things that truly remind us of the birth of our Lord.

Nuestro Mariachi
Eli and Carollyn came over for dinner this week. It was delightful.
Our Menu:
cream of spinach
stuffed sqwash
pea rice
veggies
Carollyn also brought over a delicious lemon poppy seed bunt cake. Yum!!!
After dinner and some light dancing in the living room, we all settled in and Eli played for us.
We looked like a bunch of teeny boppers listening to their favorite singer. It was such a great evening!
Blast from the Past
Last month, my branch president told me I had to move wards, because of the ward boundry changes. I really didn't see much point since I was going to move to Salt Lake in four weeks. President said we had to be obidient, so I agreed.
That Sunday, after Sociedad de Socorro (Relief Society) one of the sisters came up to me and asked me what part of Puebla I grew up. I told her where and she asked me if I knew "so and so." I told her the name didn't sound familiar and that in all honesty Puebla has grown so much. So she said to me, "Oh I know! I bet it has, I served my mission 20 years ago." "Twenty years ago?" I asked, "that is when my Papi served his mission."
It turns out my dad was her first Zone Leader! She invited me over for Sunday dinner and we spent all afternoon talking. I brought over some pictures of my dad's mission... "stop stop, go back to the other picture!" she said to me. "What, that one?" "Yeah! Yeah! That is me! "
Sure enough it was her: right next to my daddy!
I couldn't believe it. I had had that picture of my dad for a long time. Who would have thought being obedient would have turned out to be such a good thing!

ALl in GOod CoMpanY!
Teri and I met at work this semester. She and her husband Bertly and daughter Bonnie have been so sweet. They embraced me as part of their own. How thankful I am to the Lord for blessing me with so many wonderful people while living far away from my own family.
