Pozole

And now I find myself enjoying "Hermana Ramos," Esthella's good food and great company!
In reply to em's curiosity to what Posole might be and because it is so easy to make, I decided to post it. ;)
Pozole
Essentially it is a Hominy soup. You need:
Large can of Hominy(I don't think they come in any other size actually)
Cooked chicken or Pork and plenty of broth
Oregano (plenty)
Enchilada sauce (you can keep this out if you would rather have a white pozole)
You pretty much cook the meat, add the homany and enchilada sauce, just like any regular soup. Once the meat is cooked you serve it in big bowls and then each person adds their own choice of ingridients:
Raddish
Onions
Lettuce/Cabbage
Red chilli pepper
LIME!
Yumm, this is the best during the cold time of year!
(*Hominy is very much like corn and can be found the the mexican section of your grocery store.)

Sounds like you have wonderful friends there. What is in this dish? It's hard to tell by the picture. I bet it's delicious though.

Thanks Erica. That does sound good. I'm guessing that you mean chick peas and not hummus. You make hummus from chick peas, olive oil and garlic.

We'll give it a try sometime. Thanks!
